Graduation Hat Throw

Florida Recovery Schools of Central Florida (FRSCF) is a 501c3 organization that exists to increase the level of supports available to adolescents in recovery.  We believe that every student deserves access to the resources necessary to thrive in their recovery while continuing to work towards earning their high school diploma.

FRSCF was incorporated in October 2019 and has overcome many obstacles as a result of developing during a global pandemic.  Our first school, Freedom Springs High School (FSHS), is a registered private school with the Florida Department of Education and operates as a virtual school providing synchronous (live) virtual connection the entire school day. Our virtual model has allowed for students who otherwise would not have access to a recovery high school to be connected to a community that believes in them and has supports and programs in place to help them be successful.

We believe in collaboration and have obtained and maintained multiple partnerships.  Providing recovery services to high school students allows them to complete their studies while equipping them with the life skills necessary to become productive members of the community.  A few of the services FSHS provides include case management, clinical support, academic support, and social/emotional support.  Family support is also a key component to our services.  This is completed by helping families identify their needs and connecting them to necessary resources, providing opportunities for connection, and personal growth through programs that encourage caregivers to prioritize their own recovery work as families are also in recovery.
As resources increase FRSCF intends to maintain its virtual campus FSHS while simultaneously developing brick and mortar locations.  Our Executive Director and Co-Founder resides in Marion County Florida and is working diligently to increase the resources and partnerships necessary to develop a physical brick and mortar location in this and surrounding counties.  As we continue to be intentional with every decision, we will remain focused on filling the needs of our students, their families, and the communities we serve.
